Life feels empty after I've abandoned christianity, I keep trying to find a reason to believe but our own human nature, evolution, and surrounding dynamics directly all disprove a majority of what I was taught and so are others in similar religious circles such as islam.

Brutal tbh.

I believe my nervous system is seeking any piece of counter-evidence that can lead me back into the delusion of internal structure to fall back on.

It honestly feels like being a baby bird getting kicked out of it's nest sometimes, and I'll find myself praying to God only to realize "what's the point?". :Sadge:

On a serious note, if you don't keep your brain busy with mundane stuff you will get seriously depressed by existential question

True, but I've been there and done that. It's all about going through the motions and ignoring the thoughts we were never meant to have nowadays (y)

We all live once, no point in making it unnecessarily miserable for ourselves during our very temporary stay in this existence.

Yes, I agree with pretty much everything you've said. Good thing you know what has to be done

I’m surprised to not see anyone try to argue otherwise
