Is it because they think at 17 my chin still could grow forward? Wtf is this shit? My chin is behind my lips and they said, that nothing is wrong with my jaw.
Even tough I have issues such as tmjd or poor lip support.
Some of them even said that I‘ll need functional therapy „because it‘s all in my head“
Should I by myself go to popular a maxillofacial surgeon in the neighbor city?
Maybe tell him my aesthetic and functional issues I have with my recessed chin?

The chin is in reality a useless bone which only purpose is beauty and indication of health. Much like a peacocks tail

So a doctor wont deem you recessed unless your actual mandibular structure is too far back relative to the maxilla relative to your nasion and ears

Because last time I went to the nearest maxillofacial surgeon in my area, he told me I‘m too young for jaw surgeries.
