For modeling, longer arms look good. But for bodybuilding, shorter arms are actually better – they make muscles look fuller and help with lifting.

Short torso is generally good – especially for bodybuilding. It makes the arms look longer and the shoulders appear broader.

Most successful bodybuilders or fitness models are around 5’10”, while most fashion models are like 6’2”.

I’ve also heard that waist to shoulder ratio isn’t really that important – shoulder to face ratio matters more for aesthetics.

Honestly, I’m confused.

Might be right but long torso need long other body parts and if the other parts get big its not gonna be easy to mut gain with low bf. and short torso make arms and shoulders big.

Long legs and short torso is the best, obviously it’s not as easy as saying you have long legs and a short torso or a long torso and short legs. There are more in between those, you can have legs that are too long, and a torso that’s short and vice versa.

But the best long legs and short torso proportions is better than the best long torso and short legs.

A long torso just kinda makes you look retarded. But honestly this doesn’t really matter when you weigh in other physical traits that are way more important (unless you have really fucked up proportions), muscle mass and shape (muscle bellies, insertions.) is much more important, not to mention rib cage width, clavicles length etc.

But the most perfect person will have long legs
