You wouldn’t find satisfaction in what you do. Instead you spend your time making it harder for people and easier for the rich. You need to fight back. Make life easier for us.

BECOME A NEET.. NOW!!

As a STEMcel I can relate :ogre:

Working on math-equations while you are a truecel is just impossible to cope with.

What degree are you pursuing?

It's alright, just gotta learn to appreciate mathematics. Since it's inescapable, might as well learn to cope. Makes life so much more bearable. For me, it worked so well that I ended up pursuing a math degree (along with physics).

it's hard for me because I don't see how it can help me acquire social connection or physical affection. Just make the whole thing seem so pointless.

atleast with gymcelling theres a belief that at some point it could lead to better life-quality, etc. Very hard to argue in favor of math equations here.

But if it distracts you and brings you joy, it's great. I remember I used to get excited/happy when solving equations, just don't have it anymore nowadays.

It's a means to an end, job-wise. Almost all decent jobs in STEM require some affinity with mathematics and statistics. It's a skill and a widely applicable one too.

Your mathematical skill can be applied across a wide variety of domains, and it's a somewhat rare skill as well since a large subset of the population is incapable when it comes to math. That, and it helps build a way of thinking that isn't learned elsewhere.

With that said, really the only way to last is to cultivate an innate appreciation for the subject, otherwise it'll be too miserable. For me, that was seeing the relationship or dynamic between mathematics and physical phenomena.

I gain a deeper understanding of reality and how it operates by understanding the language it speaks.

I'd say, try to replicate the conditions under which it brought you joy before. What were you doing right before, or after? What exactly sparked your interest during those moments?

Let me call you a cuck for supporting the system.

back then I saw my physics/maths studies more as a hobby/interest. I was interested in the subjects, like you say, the physical phenomena behind the maths.

after struggling with inceldom and social isolation, I found it difficult to get joy from a hobby like this, because I felt like I needed to change my life in some way to get more social/romantic succes. There was no direct benefit from a hobby such as physics/maths, only some far away dream in the future where I could have a slightly better job with questionable effect to my SMV.

When I was younger, the social-isolation and inceldom didn't affect me as much because I had more hope, I thought it would come at some point and not to stress too much about it in the present.
