@nuisance I won't crash when taking a turn or something right
If im going to be honest I think you should get a 600cc especially if you are a littly rusty

Its hard to learn fundamentals like leaning, cornering, braking when you have that much power

Just learn throttle control, but that's easier said than done because these bikes pick up speed from just breathing on the throttle.

Also you might drop it at low parking lot speeds because the riding position is awkward when you're feathering the clutch and counterbalancing. Dragging rear brake helps to keep the bike upright just don't stomp on it too hard.

Main thing is to not add throttle while leaning, that will wash out the rear and you'll lowside. Use maintenance throttle. Also dont be afraid to lean if ur tires are warm, this is the cause of many newb crashes. Shift your body off the seat into the turn like motogp riders, it just werks

Depends, probably like 2-3 years with a couple track days if you’re high spatial and body mechanics IQ.

There are redditors who still ride like absolute pussy retards after decades because they’re retarded and take everything the MSF says as gospel. Watch this guy he’s very knowledgeable https://youtube.com/@lifeatlean?si=ogPe8qZRuQiZWfUu

The main thing you’d be missing out on is that sense of delayed gratification. A 1000 with all the electronics and properly adjusted suspension will do everything better than any other bike outside of off-road or very shitty roads and low speeds in traffic. The handling and acceleration will spoil you.

Also forgot to mention these bikes have very tall gear ratios. 80-90mph in first gear. Can be kind of unrewarding to not even be able to hear the engine really rev without doing felony speeds. Ofc you can change the sprockets but then that throttle is even more sensitive.

I'm not worried about those

I just wanna be able to ride very good and don't wanna crash like a retard in a turn because I couldn't handle the power or something

Yeah there’s not really anything special that a smaller bike will “teach you” in that way. Can actually be counterproductive cause if you use the throttle on a liter like u would on a ninja 300 you’ll kys.

Yeah good to see there are still users that are left that will give advice instead of babbling about retarded shit like the average org user, do you ride man what's your bike?
