I haven’t really talked about this here, but I dropped out of university after going through a pretty bad depressive period.

For a while I basically stopped progressing in any meaningful way. I lost motivation, stopped taking care of a lot of things, isolated myself and generally let my life go downhill.

I’m not going to pretend everything is magically fixed now, because it isn’t.

But I’m starting university again this year.

And this time I’m approaching it completely differently.

I’m trying to actually build a normal, stable life instead of constantly thinking about what I’m missing or where I should be.

Getting my studies back on track, taking better care of myself, improving my appearance, becoming more socially active, getting my routines together and actually having goals again.

Nothing spectacular. Just slowly getting my shit together.

Honestly, I think that’s the biggest improvement I’ve made: realizing that I don’t need to completely transform myself overnight.

I just need to keep moving forward.

I’ll probably post updates along the way. Hopefully a year from now I can look back at this and barely recognize the person who wrote it.
