You are thinking of Kurds probably. Turkish people are barely brown if we are talking skin color. Lots of them live in this country. I’d say Moroccans are more prone to be darker compared to Turks which makes sense if you look at their genetic makeup. Moroccans have Sub-Saharan African ancestry as well. Which is kinda funny since they are racist to niggers.

a safe estimate in my opinion would be roughly 60% of proclaimed muslims actually practice the religion correctly but thats just of personal experience of talking with others. Its mostly because majority accept the idea of islam and claim they are muslims but dont pray regularly
officialy it is around 90-99% (99 for government surveys) but when I went somone told me only around 10% were proper practicing but I was in istanbul so it might be higher in rural areas

apart from his political movement i think he was a very stupid religious scholar as well. I dont know if he was trying to change islam but i was curious and listened to some of his talks and he basically gives very wrong rulings on certain things like listening to music.
