Look I get that waiting for content you like sucks, BUT you may discover something new that you have never watching before and you may end up liking it, that's how I discovered my love for South Park.. I myself do admit to being impatient at times..
Many us of have a tendency to do some of the dumbest shit I have ever witnessed in the interest of going viral.. I mean The Tide Pod challenge or the condom challenge?! WHAT. THE. FUCK. Or even half the shit on TikTok, social media really has given the idiots a platform and amplified it
Also, the tendency towards seeking social approval on social media ultimately leads to serious mental health issues, just look at the noticable spike in anxieity hospitalizations and teenage suicides since 2012... True, the declining state of the world today contributes, but as does cyberbullying..
Not to mention our tendency to cancel each other over some of the absolute dumbest things.. To any of you reading this, you've probably said ignorant statments on social media or internet chatrooms at least once.. That doesn't make you a bad person, no, that makes you human.. I myself admit to saying things I'm not proud of.. We all have.. That doesn't make you a bad person.. I mean yeah, if somebody makes a bigoted remark and is unrepentant about it, then yeah fuck them.. People can change..
People claim we are the "most tolerant generation".. Are you kidding me? We are NOT as tolerant as people claim. We cancel each other not because it's holding somebody accountable, but because we want fucking clout at all costs without ANY effort. We preach about mental health, yet engage in cyberbullying en masse on TikTok or Youtube comment sections
We aren't as environmentally sensitive as people claim we are either.. In reality, we are as consumerist as older generations, if not worse.. Just look at influencer marketing and how susceptible we are to it.
