Im getting braces in 2 weeks help

im not doing any extraction i have a slight over bite and slight crowding. do you think its gonna help and project my face and help with asymmetries or recesse me. If i can ask the orthodontist to do it in a way of pulling the bottom teeth forward instead of pushing the top teeth back would it be good then?

i have braces and found confusing and different answers.
From my experience of almost a year using them they didn't recess me at all and only got more projected(from puberty probs).
I didn't have an extraction(this does harm your face) and used triangle intermaxillary elastics for a month
