I’m getting contacts. Does the brand matter?

I’m getting contacts since my eye area is better after my eye surgery and don’t look too horrible without glasses anymore.

Does the brand matter for clear contacts? Are there any brands that make the contacts look better than others, or are they pretty much all the same shit?

I might also get colored contacts later although I have astigmatism in one eye and I can only find those online. Are those safe? I’ll probably get LASIK soon too.
