I liked observing more than teaching. There was a noticeable difference in attitude compared to their actual teacher versus me. They would not engage with me as a class. Also, I am not idealistic like they want teachers to be. I don’t care about motivating students, getting the best out of them, etc. I also don’t like having to socialize much.

In a way, I get it — I was only there once a week, and only for like the second semester. But in order to get them have the same attitude towards me, I would have to implement the same strategies (like being strict and all), which clashes with my personality. I’m easygoing, but that also causes problems: students will be much too noisy.

I was thinking of finance/accounting. Suddenly, an office job without any social interaction seemed very attractive me.
