I started doing minoxidil on my face and a minor skincare routine at the same time early this year. My skin has definitely improved. That's not to say that minoxodil can't have any negative effects on the skin, just that it can be mitigated. I'm planning on trying some caffeine eye cream, because I sometimes have bags under my eyes after a long night of sleep, and minoxidil dilates teh blood vessels in the face, or whatever.

Based on my personal experiences, as well as many others I've read, the foam makes your skin a lot worse than the liquid. People just use the foam for convenience (dries faster).
