My grandad has Ukrainian ancestry and he drank himself to death in mid thirties (he died not directly from alcohol but rather an accident that involved alcohol). In pics in mid thirties he still looked like a mogger with good skin and hair. You can be lucky but I think it's a stupid game to play. I don't think I aged significantly in three and half years I drank heavily but I definitely was looksmining myself because there is no way in hell I looked my best. Worst of the more you drink the harder it is to control your habit. Before I drank heavily I could have a beer or two and call it quits but every time I socially drink I feel an insanely strong urge to get absolutely trashed. I can control it, but I sometimes slip and end up half pissed which is always a big disappointment to yourself if you're trying to clean up. I'm just putting this all out for youngcels on this forum so they know what they're getting into. There's not one alcoholic who is deeply happy and untroubled. They're always depressed or hate themselves in one way or another.
