That is very true, even being academically smart doesn’t mean you’re actually smart. The same can be said for IQ tests.. it’s all about recognizing patterns. The higher your IQ, the better your ability to do this is. But that doesn’t mean you’re actually smart. People tend to forget that.

tbh IQ really doesn’t mean shit, i used to LARP when i was 11 years old to my friends that my IQ was like 160 or some shit all because i used to nerd out on online IQ tests, IQ is a measurement of your ability to recognise patterns you’re right, being academically smart is something different, i know someone who got the bare minimum entry requirements to do higher subjects and they ended up getting better than the kids that got good in their GCSEs, all because they got complacent, suddenly they weren’t the “naturally smart” kids anymore

also if anyone says they don’t study and get good grades they’re fucking liars and deserve to rot on the dirtiest train stations of new delhi

I agree, there’s no way you don’t study and still get good grades. I did go to college junior and got good grades without studying but that was due to two reasons. First of all, the questions are a lot less harder and second I paid attention in class so that’s why I aced those exams without actually studying for them. But in a regular college you won’t be able to ace your exams even if you pay attention in class.
