If I were to die tomorrow I wouldn't care. Truly. If there was a timer and my time is short I would go fuck hookers or try to get laid and do all type of drugs before it runs out. But even if it was unforeseen and sudden I wouldn't care. If it was a something gnarly I'd probably think, "fuck my family won't be able to have an open casket funeral", if it was a car crash or something then "fuck, my family could've used this car" or some shit. But mostly I wouldn't care.

Approximately 117 billion people have lived on this planet.

Approximately 1 septillion stars (1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000).

Use those figures in the afterlife equation.

Is Earth a star factory?

If there was a god like religions told us, one who punishes unbelievers, not to mention other numerous restrictions in their respective moral guidelines. Then there would probably be about 100 billion souls suffering in some kind of divine punishment.

That's the afterlife equation.

You were sleeping for eternity before you got here. The first thing you did after waking up? Cry.

Life is a blip. It's like that moment when you are half awake in the middle of your sleep scratching an itch and it feels really good. Then you continue in your slumber. But you don't wake up.

Besides, you won't feel anything afterwards. You won't want anything. Because you won't be anything.

what is scaring me is afterlife, we cannot prove afterlife because if we proved it, it wouldnt be transcendental, hence it would be fake, but there is also probability of it existing. i would rather go into a state of unconsciousness eternally than suffer in hell.

Im honestly just scared of nothingness. I like having a purpose and living. Im also scared of being forgotten. I want to be remembered by people forever.

Pain is a worldly, material concept. It's receptors shooting electrical impulses to your brain so it can interpret danger.

Damage parts of your brain that do that and you won't feel pain. The brain is directly tied to the consciousnesses. Once it dies it goes with it.

It should be soothing rather than scary.

Death isn't real

I don't think it would. I like sleeping a lot but nothingness forever is scary.
You might be associating nothingness with the perception of absolute darkness. They're not the same at all.

Death itself isn't a thing. It’s just the shutdown of the body and the story attached to it.

What you are isn’t the body or the story, so nothing actually dies in the end, only the interface ends.

and the thing doing the seeing will die one day.
No. The interface dies, but the signal doesn’t.
Destroy a radio, and the broadcast doesn’t vanish. You just can’t hear it anymore

True. This is why I find Christianity hard to believe. You're telling me that if I don't accept Jesus Christ as my lord and savior, and believe that there is a god, I'll burn in the lake of fire for eternity — even if I was a kind charitable soul for the time I spent on this Earth? What about all the people who were legitimately unable to even learn about God due to living in completely isolated communities like in Northern Siberia or the Amazon? Will they all go to hell just because they were unable to be bestowed this important knowledge from a sand strip in West Asia? (I'm aware some branches view this differently, I know Catholicism holds the "virtuous pagan" belief.)

I still think Christianity is a net benefit for society, and I would say that I do subscribe to the moral principles of it, but I just can't force myself to believe the supernatural aspects of it; it just seems so contrived.

Where does consciousness go? Where do you go after the interface dies? What's the basis? What do you think consciousness is?
