Year to date. Just a humble brag.

This is just stocks not itty bitty coins. Im managing a high risk growthy portfolio of ~30 stocks. Mix of long and short holds. I started buying Jewish, energy and space stocks heavy in February during Iran war. But these weren't my main drivers and sold them off.

Anyway I'm not gonna start a discord or niggas to pay me for advice JFL. Ive said time and time again here about the broad themes like biotech, emerging markets and green tech. Im neutral on robotics.

Not going to shill any names because I change my mind every second ngl. Anyone not willing to change their mind should buy ETFs and chill.

No this isn't crypto, NFTs or memecoins. I have most of my wealth in this shit so not aiming for the moon. If I keep growing at 70% a year I would hit hundreds of millions and then billions of dollars within 15-20 years.

Im not so retarded to think this. So I'll.probably go easy and sell off.

Yes you are the perfect exhibit of the retard I was talking about and didnt read my thread and doesn't understand compounding.

Because 1100% every 3 months (clearly a shitcoin) you probably put only $50 in. If you kept at that you would also end up a trillionaire within 3 years retard.

Try and outperform the historic S&P at 10% rest of your life if you can - something 70% of hedge funds cant even do.

No. Honestly I think I just got lucky. I trade based on trend and broader macroeconomic and thematic factors. Im just an amateur. Im going to start winding down because I am bearish - ngl I follow guys like Burry and Jeremy Grantham.

One thing average Joe has over hedgies and other funds is that they can move quickly and react fast. This is especially important for earnings calls and Donald Trumos erratic behaviours / obvious insider trading.

you're the moron. you know nothing about trading if you think this is a flex.

hedge funds manage BILLIONS, do you know how hard it is to grow a billion dollars without moving the market AGAINST yourself? Not only that, they prefer risk management and minimizing drawdowns. I fucking hate it when room temperature IQ retail traders act like beating a hedge fund is a tough feat. Unless your portfolio is well above 9 figures, that's not a flex.

They can move individual stocks not markets. One hedge fund can't move an entire market you retard.

Most hedge funds have millions of value AUM not billions.

Retard. Just gtfo and trade your shitty coins.

All I know is he’s involved in stocks, usually major world events such as the Iran war influence the stock market and he’s taking advantage of that, I think. Other than that, I’m not into moneymaxxing so I wouldn’t know much about it.

3 questions big dog

What separates the stocks you hold for years from the ones you trade in and out of?

What’s your process for identifying a stock before it becomes a major position for you?

What’s been your biggest mistake so far with this portfolio, and what did you change because of it?

all the other information is fire

I usually hold ETFs for themes I am bullish on long term such as robotics or things I know less off. I also hold international markets since last year. I'm actually bearish on the US and emerging and international markets like Japan and Italy outperform USA last year. The S&P is the big daddy. When emerging starts outperforming it, then it's usually the start of a long term trend not a short term trade. So not something worth selling

Things I hold short term are things I follow closely like biotech stocks. You have to be razor sharp with trades, listen to earnings call, regulatory announcements, phase 3 clinical studies and tbh lots of my trades come after hours when vol.is low and big tutes have gone to sleep since they don't trade after 5. So provides an opportunity if there is a big announcement or surprise earnings call made.

Lots and lots of research. There is a ton of advice and people out there. I don't actually hold a 'major position' in hype stocks. Anything I invested a lot has had modest growth as expected. Things I invested in a little ended up becoming a lot e.g..Planet Labs, Twist, 10x Genomics. I did a lot of bottom-fishing with these and sold at a good time. Still hold 10x and Twist btw

Opposite of above. And tbh an expensive lesson is sometimes worth it. I put £5k in an individual stock back in 2022 (Chargepoint btw) it hurts but it probably taught me a lesson In otherwise may have learnt too late. Gave me the motivation to learn and realise how stupid I was.

Also patience... For me at least. I need a balance between checking my portfolio every minute and not checking for weeks. Looking at something all the time really forces you to make dumb decisions. The gamification of these trading apps probably plays into it.

Anyway I went off on several tangents but hope that helps.

Mirin, this year I expect to have a 30-50 percent return as most of my stocks are shifted towards war time so xeg ptlr and uso the rest are in crypto
Will look into the sectors u talked about
