The NEET life sounds good on paper, but actually living it is completely different. You might yearn for it now, and enjoy a few days of freedom, but then the days turn into weeks, and the weeks turn into months and you’re just fighting boredom everyday. That’s the average NEET life. Plus you lose your social skills due to not interacting with people and stuff like that.

Keep doing what you’re doing, once you’ve got your degree, you can take a year or longer off. It will give you greater freedom in the future. I wish I had finished my studies back in the day, then I could just quit working whatever job I studied for, and get back into it whenever I would want. But now I can’t afford to do that, because I don’t have a degree. It’s going to take me years. So stay in school, earn some money.

It’s not an easy job. I am out more than 12 hours each time I go. Plus because it’s physically demanding, I’m tired after each shift. I didn’t look forward to going to my job anymore. What’s most important is doing what you like. Just doing it for the cash isn’t it. I earned well, each day I work, I would make $150. It’s definitely not bad, but it’s not good either. There are better options out there.

My job is mundane but chill, to be fair, plus part-time, so I manage.

The shifts themselves were ten hours, but I get paid for nine (lunch and dinner breaks are unpaid). However, travel is one hour each way. I would leave the house at 1:30 PM and then I would return home ar 2:30 AM. It’s really not worth it. There are better job prospects out there, which don’t take 13 hours out of my day. My warehouse is also mundane and part-time, but in combination with college classes and internships, it’s just not doable.
