I fell for the "never train your obliques" meme.

Only just realized this when looking in the mirror today that filling in my sides would simultaneously cover my pelvis, have me pack on more muscle, and overall just have my obliques stronger.

Not to mention the fact it would make me further aesthetic because I have more of a fighter's body than anything else.

Thoughts?

Yes, I know.

Took obliques off a couple months ago because I assumed once I cut down, my pelvis likely wouldn't be as prominent, thus giving my v-taper an amazing boost.

But giving it a second glance... Training them will probably double as filling them in right now, and when I do cut down.

Underrated part that most people don't notice about another PSL god, Loox, is that he filled in his obliques like crazy during his before and after transformation. Making his physique 10x more proportional and aesthetic.

i dont even do abs

it's down to preferences and structure, if you like blockier waists by all means go for it, there's no program that works for all people.

my hips are pretty narrow to begin with so not training them doesn't give me an hourglass figure.

Looking at your waist, your obliques are definitely developed to a proportional extent.

In my case, my lower obliques near my pelvis are underdeveloped, making my physique (at least without a shirt on), tank a solid 0.5+, so I'm deciding to train them to a POINT, at least for now.

you should do what you think works for you, this is why I hate cookie cutter gym routines, structure varies so widely that what makes one person look good makes the other look like shit, most people running basic PPL end up with the same kind of lackluster potato shape in which nothing really stands out because it just doesn't fit their structure.

be wary though, don't do any oblique exercises that require a 'twisting' movement, because they're terrible for your spine.

Thank you, brotha.

I know what you mean on terms of gym routines, imo, you should structure your routine around your frame/build, compensate for your weaknesses, and excell with your strengths.

That's really all it, tho, appreciate it.
