I would stop focusing on girls and travel or something. Work on acquiring a second or third language maybe.

Go to (meetup.com), where you can find all sorts of people with all sorts of interest who meet up once a week. Don't try to befriend everybody at the meetings. Your goal should be to acquire one or two close friends after attending many different types of groups. Do that over the course of six months. Also, while you're doing this you should try to develope an appreciation for "people watching" at a close proximity. Most of the people who go to these types of things will be gay and uninteresting. Still though, you've gotta learn to cultivate an ability to take interest in folks whom you would otherwise not care about if you ever want to become more charismatic. Think of yourself as a spy, or undercover police detective, sent to infultrate these groups. Don't approach it with a perspective of trying to improve yourself, even though that's exactly what you'll end up doing. Make a game out of it. At every meetup there will be newcomers like yourself.
