Im really bad at getting excited for tomorrow
always been this way too, I remember vividly even at 10 years old there was this palpable sense that there's nothing to look forward to, everything just sucks and forever will remain this way, some kind of cosmic inevitability inextricable from my life
Im not even lying or joking, as a young child I would just look for things that can "pass the time" without leading anywhere.like that was all I did whatsoever.
probably developed from a mix of neurochemistry and family issues and social isolation
this instinct that nothing good could happen to me has led me toward sitting in a chair and jerking off for my entire existence waiting around to die
I seriously could go far if I just was motivated more and could see some kind of light, but it all seems superficial and fleeting to me like an illusion
I feel actual hope and motivation maybe once a week for 5 minutes and then I see the nothingness behind it as the facade drops
I have outsourced any figment of motivation to philosophical works and TikTok edits
