It seems no one likes what they major unless you had an idea of it when you were 12 years old, everyone fucking hates there major. I don't know how you or many people picked there majors because I see foids doing computer science and then complain that computer science doesn't let them socialize

Idk if you went to public school but I fucking hate public school I actually wish I never went through it. I feel you, I'm legally an adult now and I feel like a child. I have to get denied by the teacher to go the bathroom even though I was having diarrhea and at the same time I was filling out a debt calculator of $120,000 to go to a collage for a psych degree. (I didn't pursue it because no jobs at all and daddy issue lesbian foids are in psych) In hindsight it is so fucking serreal and than looking at 18 years in the past they were exploring land and having kids while investing stuff and here I am at 18 being told by boomers what I want even though it obviously cripple me for life.

this is a bad forum for this tbh but OP if you wanna post more about your experience a few people might appreciate it.

im deciding between going to a “better college” (more loans) and taking a ‘better major’ (ie econ) to enter finance, or go to a worse college and business major and grind for the LSAT to try and get into a T14 law school.

I am much better at reading, reasoning than math, although idk the degree of math prowess you need for econ/finance, and law school is expensive as fuck too..
Maybe different in US but you don’t need to be good at maths for econ in UK

IMO finance is good as long as you avoid big corporations.

What's it like working in finance in China?
I know one guy from my college who went that route and ended up staying there even though he's not Chinese

What are the most lucrative careers in the UK?
I heard law or finance are good there and medicine/engineering are underpaid

pros and cons. locals know they dont know what they're doing, so they really respect you if u prove your smart (Asian education system is designed to destroy any smartness a person has).

also living in Asia if you are NT is great cos u can have a good life. I used to be NT and had a great time till I got blackpilled.

it's awesome for travelling, exploring, and nightlife (but u need to be NT)

on the downside, asia is:

1) very backward commercially and innovation wise, ita very anti their culture, so is frustrating as fuck if u are trying to be leading edge

2) people are not good human beings compared to.western people (this is one I changed my mind on, I used to think the opposite lol)

3) it's much more expensive than the west, but I know people there who live happily on very small.salaries

4) weather is fucking shit unless u live in Japan or Korea or Shanghai or Beijing

5) everything is very estrogenic, especially the guys, and no one is even remotely fat, so larger people will feel out of place

I've been to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen briefly over a couple trips
I'm fascinated with China and its culture and people
Is it really more expensive than say San Francisco or London?
I agree that Asians (south and east) in general are not as sincerely kind as westerners

"pros and cons. locals know they dont know what they're doing, so they really respect you if u prove your smart (Asian education system is designed to destroy any smartness a person has)."
What do you mean by this? My Chinese friend said high school in China is brutal and you are forced to learn loads of information

i'm going to work in a very small bank. risk management, lending pricing and collection area
from 1 side i'm happy the other side wants to do something more relevant but i'll see in the future it's not too late i can just do some experience and leave

you're forced to learn a bunch of shit with zero applicable value, and whatever had value you're not taught to apply.

I cant speak for China, but HK and SIN systems I know well. school is cram city, they do calculus at 14 that I did when I was 16. but they dont really DO it, they dont understand it, and never have any concept of how it is applicable in real life.

I conducted an interview this week, over zoom, with a girl in Shanghai, who had been to Peking University, and done Maths. this is prestigious af. I made her come to the office and go to a room with no phone, just pen and paper.

i did a.very simple case study with her, incredibly simple, the most advanced part of it is tou have to construct then solve a simultaneous equation. I'd say in the UK STEM and similar grads from any top 30 university who do this case, with a little bit of coercing, probably 30-50% will complete it with no issues. this foid could not get close. and this is common there.

so yeah people.there can do arithmatic in their head that most people in.the west cant, but actual.shit that evolves humanity or makes money, forget about it

But yeah money is irrelevant to what kind of life you have, it's all looks.

And for me, like many men, I lost out on that front
