I'm gonna get orbital decompression and lower eyelid retraction 8th next month, also i will start my MSE treatment for my bimax+CCW that will be done at most in 12 months.
I just didnt get why my ortho said that i need MSE before my bimax+CCW. Any of you guys already got MSE done?

Doctor is thinking about:
10mm BSSO;
5-6mm Genio;
5mm maxilla advancement.
Without taking in count the rotation gains.

4-5 mm eye decompression.

Life fuel tbh.


Funny thing is what started with me thinking about genioplasty ended in this. I guess the slippery slope is true

Doctor said the risk of getting blind it's worse in the case of graves disease because of the muscles and adipose tissue. Way less in cosmetic cases.

The only thing my insurance won't cover is the braces and orbital decompression honorary. I suffer from sleep apnea/mouth breathing as well, but my bite is ok.

If you get MSE after bimax, you will only get a split in your lower maxilla instead of the entire maxilla, since lefort cuts your maxilla in half
