No your bac water doesnt have to be cold, room temp is fine and often stings less

Belly fat can hurt for some people, thigh or upper glute fat is often more comfortable
and injecting slowly helps a lot.

A bigger needle is commonly used for mixing/drawing then a fresh insulin needle for injecting.
