I'm 18 years old and currently in my third year of college, studying to become an electrician (the program lasts four years). But I don’t like this profession, and deep down I know I don’t want to work in this field.
I want to make at least $1,500 a month online — maybe by starting a business, selling digital products, or something along those lines. But I can’t seem to take full responsibility for my life and actually start taking action.
My family is middle class — we have enough money for everyday needs, so I don’t have a strong external motivation to start earning (like poor, for example). Still, I constantly feel guilty for not doing anything and miss the opportunity every day. Most of the time, all I do is watch or read about other people’s success stories. But I can’t seem to take that first step myself.
About three months ago, my friend and I found a way to make money by selling in-game currency, which we got using cheats. In just a month and a half, I made $2,500. It was hard to start at first, but once I saw the money coming in, I realized it actually worked — and from that moment on, I was glued to the computer, working non-stop. I think this experience is part of why I keep jumping from one idea to another without trying anything seriously — I don’t see instant results, so I lose interest quickly.
That was my first real income, so I didn’t understand the value of that money and ended up spending it quickly without investing any of it. The only major thing I bought was a decent PC, which I thought would help me earn even more — but soon after, that money-making method got shut down.
After making that kind of money myself, it’s hard for me to understand how people survive on regular jobs. The average salary in my field is around $600, and many people have to support families on that.
I am looking for advice on how to take responsibility for my life and, finally, start acting. I also want to know what a promising online niche one I could start learning seriously right now to start making money.
P.S. Sorry for my bad English, and I will be glad to any advice
