Title. Working in Tech there are often moments you get this feeling that you are an idiot tbh. Shit just happens some people are too good. They do this shit like LeBron James plays basketball like Messi plays football like Beethoven playing a symphony. It just comes naturally to them. Like in a flow in a rhythm like they are in a state.

I already have a job nigga. But it's remote and chill. There periods like these where I got nothing to do but stare at a screen and get paid for it.

theyโ€™re extremely advanced and programmed matrix NPCs

how else would it come so naturally to them, itโ€™s like ai but on a macro cosmic vr scale in regards to this simulation

itโ€™s how their brains are programmed and interface with the matrix

You mean 50k dollars? You can get more than 3x that if you are good. I am Devops engineer but I also get projects typical for a SWE from time to time because of my experience and yeah man. You are still in high school so don't stress. Just do coding on the side and focus on getting into a target school.

yea like 50k a year but I feel that if I do lock into this and try I could be slightly above average also I'm in my last year so I low-key gotta stress a bit even tho I don't really stress and what should I look for in a school also is this computer science?

Yes. CS. Just go to the best school in your state if you are from the US. If you can afford out of state tution that is fine too. Being close to tech hubs is a plus aswell. Just don't take out a huge student loan or something. Also school won't suffice to get you a job. You need to constantly upskill and learn stuff on the side or you are ending up jobless like the thousands of CScels.

No. These people are naturally gifted. In tech you see it quickly. Some people just pattern match faster, understand abstractions within seconds, recognising architectures and debug by instinct. You can't fake that with grind alone with said hard work can you get very far industry rewards consistency but some people are naturally good at it

Yes, but intelligence used to further the profits of the few at the expense of everybody else.

All corporate execs should be killed btw.

โ€œBro, it's all about grindingโ€ฆ broโ€

But it's natural, it's how a considerable number of people cope with one of the most brutal humiliations that exist

On the other hand, intelligent people (such as yourself) are often better able to recognise the abilities of others

Don't get me wrong. Grinding and hard work can take you very far. @Saint Casanova and I were having this exact conversation about how some people in prestigious positions in tech and finance just grind their way out of everything with sheet hard work and persistence but the catch is you'll have to put 10x the effort of someone who is naturally good at it and even then might not get as good.

Yep thatโ€™s 100% true. There are some careers/roles where youโ€™re in such a disadvantage if youโ€™re not smart that it becomes so draining.

Although Iโ€™d say you can be successful in 80-85% of careers with just hard work. Most of them outside of tech or specialised finance roles donโ€™t require exceptional intelligence. At that point other skills are important.

The smartest kid in my high school math club was a 9th grader. No clue how he knew so much. The guy is also like 6'5 so props to him I guess.
