I'm thinking about writing a looksmaxing textbook (for BOTB) that encompasses all looksmaxing knowledge, but I don't think it's worth it.

Probably if you don't really sell it under the name of looksmax.
Find similar nomenclature, appeal to a wider audience.

Lowkey think so if It's got some good marketing. Or dare I say make a course lol. All about the marketing, like when the coper k shami did it.

The issue then would be ensuring coherence in formatting, progression (from one thread to another) and navigation mechanisms (I plan on being able to have a NEXT button that could take people to the next thread and a PREVIOUS button that could take people to the previous thread as well as TOC button that could take them to the navigation page.)

The issue that I'd believe wouldn't make this profitable is that this community has a tendency to pirate and distribute the stuff.

hmmmm, one second, let me check in with chat gpt for extra opinions on this too

"

. Formatting Consistency

Create a simple “Contributor Formatting Template” (e.g., headers, bolding rules, citations).
  • Use consistent headers like:
    • Section 5.1.2 – Calculating Facial Ratios
    • TL;DR summary at the top
    • Footnotes or citations (if needed)

Progression & Thread Linking (Navigation)

Solution:
Build this simple HTML-style footer in every thread:

You can do this manually or:

  • Build a master TOC page/post with anchor links to each thread
  • Use a placeholder like [COMING SOON] until the next thread is up

Eventually you’ll be able to retroactively edit the navigation links once the next threads are live.

Maintaining Quality Control

Solution:

  • You act as the editor/moderator.
  • If it becomes a community collab, approve edits/submissions, and make sure they align with your original TOC tone and knowledge standard.
  • Have a pinned post or Google Doc with style guidelines and topic claims (like “I’m writing 5.1.6 – Frame Size”).

TOC / Central Navigation Page

Solution:
Create a single thread titled:
🔗 “Master Looksmaxing Textbook TOC – Click to Navigate Sections”
"

Well my primary intention was to serve a need the website needs, but the effort to reward ratio is suboptimal, aka, its not worth it.

How about instead of wasting hours on this thread that has no guarantee of even getting above 20 reps, you spend that time applying that knowledge to potential videos for your dead Youtube channel.

Do something that actually benefits you, start Youtube/TikTokMaxxing and try to get monetized. I don't even know why your still on this forum, go and make a channel bruv.

This one sounds great tbh

Well my primary intention was to serve a need the website needs, but the effort to reward ratio is suboptimal, aka, its not worth it.
I think you should do it but don't make a shitty bok

How about instead of wasting hours on this thread that has no guarantee of even getting above 20 reps, you spend that time applying that knowledge to potential videos for your dead Youtube channel.

Do something that actually benefits you, start Youtube/TikTokMaxxing and try to get monetized. I don't even know why your still on this forum, go and make a channel bruv.
