There’s a girl I really like. I’ve been helping pay for her college, food, and other daily needs. We’re not officially dating, and I’m okay with that because we both want to focus on college.
But I’m insecure about my looks. She always says she doesn’t care about physical appearance, so I trusted her.
Today, I sat next to her during a group assignment and tried to talk to her, but she barely responded. Later, my handsome and funny friend sat next to her, and suddenly she was very talkative, laughing, touching his neck, and showing him things on her phone. I’ve never even looked at her phone because I respect her privacy.
Honestly, I’m tired and confused. I’ve been saving my money for her in case she needs anything, but now I feel like I want to spend it on myself instead, like getting braces and using steroids.
What do you think? Am I wrong for feeling this way?
