I'm talking to the professor and my advisor tomorrow. The professor is great and nice but I'm really not ready to take the midterm exam. It's a FUBAR situation and if I take the exam I'll have a heart attack in the exam room for sure. I'll be retaking this class again in the last semester. By the way, my undergraduate work was also Quantum condensed matter simulation and I'm joining a quantum information research group. Hope the PI won't kick my ass out. Fuck it man Should I just abandon my study and flip burgers if anything gets worse?

Too highIQ for me. I'm considering droping out because muh advanced math is too hard for me. Idk what kind of shit you're doing but it's probably +130IQ.

Why would you take the most boring subject from STEM there is? It's popular because programming pays relatively well but it's boring and frustrating.

If you decided CS from all the STEM low tier unis by pure bad lack, I don't know what to tell you.

I mean my speciality is cyber security. Honestly, I wanted to just find some sort of a subject where I could half-arse everything and leave but now I'm stuck doing maths. Brutal!

IQ alone won't garuntee a success in STEM , ngl. This may sound like a cliche but I believe time management (spacing out the time needed for reviewing and working on assignments) , organization (ability to keep track of notes and important events) , ability to ask for help and emotional management are just as important as IQ. I've seen so many smart kids flunked out during the undergrad and wasted their potential because they think they could cram an upper division class.

Still, it really helps with the courses. Speed is the key in exact sciences. If you're borderline retarded, it will be really hard to grasp certain concepts quickly. As for me, welp, I never really carried about anything. I did as less as possible just so that I could weasel my way through all the bullshit. We'll see in the future I guess.

Lack of focus, poor time management , severe social anxiety and trouble adjusting to a new environment.
