Fucking hell this shit is traumatising. Imagine being one of these soldiers, it would be a life worse than inceldom. An incel will be gawked at most, however these people were completely shunned by everyone

This was also before cosmetic surgery was advanced and these men could only wear masks to maybe hide their appearances temporarily. They would never see their family or friends again out of fear and shock and would be forever confined to an institution of the disabled or disfigured
