At my peak even I used to be able to bench that but after losing weight it's hard af.

no way dude im on gear benching 315 for a tall guy and that too natty is unheard of unless elite genes and years and years of training

I used to be 104 kgs before and there were 2-3 guys in my gym who weighted less and were able to bench more. 3 plates one rep max isn't that impressive imo. It's like impressive at some local gym. There's one guy guaranteed to have 315 or over .

3 plates one rep max isn't that impressive imo
It is only 0.001% of general population can do it you have more odds to be a multi millionaire or being born chad than to bench 3 plates idk which gym you used to go where this wasnt impressive but even in powerlifting it is respected
140kg bench for even 1 rep is indeed a big feat dont let the internet fool you

3 plates is impressive compared to average person on the street and puts you in the advanced category of lifters 1.5x BW is advanced but I wouldn't call it top 0.01% bench press. That is a elite world class bench, which is 2x BW so if you weight 90 kgs it would 180 kgs bench like this guy. Extremely rare to come by in normal gyms.

Genuinly what does benching 315 do, the whole purpose of the gym is to get the halo affect from your physique (i.e 10% bf, wide delts, big arms etc) aimlessly chading numbers that only guys care about is pretty pointless and if your a fat bloatcell whole doing it its borderline homosexual

This was me. I was fat but it felt good being able to pump a lot of metal and it's also very validating to know you are stronger. I remember tracking down my progress on an app and using that strength calculator on my lifts. Doesn't mean much because you aren't very athletic but you do look fucking huge. Also pumping iron and powerlifting is a very good cope

yk not everyone goes to the gym thinking " yeh boy im going to increase my smv by 0.1 today so that becky gives me those ioi's" some of us just lift cuz we enjoy doing it let us live just stop judging everyone dude
 
i stopped flat benching when i realised i was chasing numbers and getting fat

its probably the biggest gymcel lift you could ever do other than squat or something

yeah true, there were tons of fatasses at my school who were like 300 lbs bragging they could squat a ton

my chest is genetically a strong point and it just made my chest way too big jfl

Look i was the same but at the end of the day think about why you are going to the gym, this is a looksmaxxing forum and if you bench 315 while looking like david laid thats fucking awesome but chasing incredibly high numbers for male validation is cope and in the real world nobody gives af what u bench only what u look like, when i first benched 110kg i was 28% bf and thought it would impress women but i just looked like an autistic gymcell, its only when i shreddef down to 12% that my physique actually helped get me laid and i benched 120kg in the process though i would no longer be natty
