pretty much half the "persian" achievements throughout history are claimed by iranians to be done by iranians of history from the modern geography of iran when in reality a large chunk of it comes from people who lived in northern afganistan and central asia

as an example, people always attribute a large part of the islamic golden age to be done by persians, iranians twist it and say that all of those achievements came from historical figures that were born and lived in the modern geography of iran - when the reality of the matter is that a lot of these figures were actually from the khorasan region I described earlier

in reality anybody smart will realize that there was/is no difference between a persian speaker from iran, afghanistan, tajikistan and central asia when it comes to history
