Then its a problem with your perception of yourself, not the mirror. Camera just forces you to look at a still image where your face isn't reversed, i.e., looking at yourself in a way you barely do IRL which causes you to perceived yourself as uncanny.

Last part is right though, its basically the marker for if you actually ascended.

If you look in the true mirror for the first time and have looked in a regular mirror a lot, then that can actually make you perceive your own asymmetries as being more pronounced than how others actually see them in the true mirror. However, a normal mirror will make us more symmetrical than we truly are. I would definitely recommend a true mirror but give it a little while to adjust.
