his contract with spotify is said to be around $200 million for 3.5 years, so most of the money probably comes from that. then he probably has other things like advertising, merch, etc

Alex Jones FINALLY admits that Sandy Hook was NOT a hoax during $150m defamation trial where victims' families say he made their lives 'a living hell': Emails show he was earning $800k-a-DAY at Infowars despite claiming to be broke

Moment Alex Jones admits that the Sandy Hook Massacre did happen and was not a hoax

@OldRooster what are your thoughts on this lawsuit? i mean i know he's a bit of a kook, but isn't he free to say whatever he wants?

he's just voicing his opinion on an event, isn't he free to do that under current laws, however erroneous his opinion might be?

Mike Tyson made 22 million Dollars in 91 seconds.

Disclaimer: I have never read anything about this story, including this story, it never interested me, I have always considered AJ a nut case and an embarrassment to anyone that wants to seriously discuss real conspiracies.

I don't know why anyone would consider his self proclaimed income credible.

From general osmossis I piece together the following... He said Sandyhook was all staged by the government and the Parents were all actors paid by the government to pretend they had kids killed at the school. That is clearly slander against the parents (who are not public figures), and far beyond the protections of free speech.

isn't it a stretch to say it's slander, unless he specifically named them and targeted them

if you say that [members of protected group] are criminals, did you just slander millions of people? can they all sue you then?

I thought he specifically named the people who are suing him as CIA paid actors , and/or made specific reference to an interview (or something else) they did. I think it is only 2 parents (I think) that are suing him, so that seems like a reasonable assumption, else it would be a lot more parents suing him.

If there was no specific reference to any one parent then it is a fuzzy legal issue above my pay grade, because it is a pretty small group. 20 kids died in an upscale white area, so that suggests something like 38 parents in total. If you slander a group of 5,000 people it is clear that any one member of that group does not have legal recourse against you, but at what group size does the slander become personal enough to impact individual members?

In any event the amount of money seems grossly disproportionate to the actual damages, since he retracted the statements years ago. I don't see why there would be a judgment for more than $3,000,000 per person.
