It’s explained by long and short term evolution of our society.

But I wouldn't call this man, a beta perse. nor an alpha, because only people in high power positions are alpha's I guess.

He's a decent dude, I think. He seems to have been able to gather decent resources, money. Which is always nice.
Obviously he is playing the provider game. Which works in some age groups and locations in the World quit well. And in some places, doesn't work.
he lives in Ukraine I know.

That didn't really exist in the 1990's recall.
EVERYONE, I knew and had access to in the 1990's. Were people I met in real life. Or had to go meet in real life.
Dating wise, one fished in that pool.
NOWADAYS, in the digital world one has basically access to the whole world. Dating wise, one can fish in that pool. And women hold the power in that. And when women (percieved) options increase, their pickiness increases.*
