Imam Ghazali on women

My fav scholars are ibn hazm shawkani ghazali ibn khudama Dhahabi ibn qayyim
 
Al-Ghazali (1058–1111): In his work "Ihya' Ulum al-Din" (Revival of the Religious Sciences), Al-Ghazali permits music and singing under certain conditions, arguing that it can be spiritually beneficial if it promotes good and does not lead to sinful behavior.

Ibn Hazm (994–1064): In his book "al-Muhalla," Ibn Hazm argues for the permissibility of music, citing the absence of definitive prohibitions in the Quran and Hadith.

Al-Shawkani (1759–1839): In his work "Nayl al-Awtar," Al-Shawkani provides a detailed discussion on the topic and leans towards the permissibility of music, particularly when it serves a beneficial purpose.

Al-Dhahabi (1274–1348): Although often cited for his stringent views on other issues, Al-Dhahabi recognized the permissibility of music and singing in certain contexts, especially if they do not lead to sinful actions

Al-Qurtubi (1214–1273) - Andalusian Qur'anic commentator.


Al-Suyuti (1445–1505) - Egyptian scholar and polymath


Al-Isfahani (897–967) - Author of "Kitab al-Aghani" (The Book of Songs).


Ibn Tahir al-Maqdisi (d. 1113) - Scholar who wrote treatises on the permissibility of music.
