Immortality is the concept of eternal life and permanent resistance to death from natural causes.
Some species possess "biological immortality" due to an apparent lack of the Hayflick limit.

From at least the time of the ancient Mesopotamians, there has been a conviction that "gods" may be physically immortal, and that this is also a state that the gods at times offer humans. We all know that these "gods" are not real, in reality we know nothing. We dont know what happens in the afterlife. We dont know what happens on earth. Who knows? There could be a god. There also couldnt.

What the actual fuck would be the point of being immortal? Wouldnt it be a curse? You would watch the human race die. YOU probably want to die right now.

First, lets go over some views on the "concept" of immortality.

1 — Plato / Classical dualism: the soul outlives the body

Plato’s picture (as in the Phaedo) treats the person as essentially a soul that temporarily inhabits a body. The body is changeable and tied to the senses; the soul is the rational part that apprehends eternal Forms. Death for Plato is not annihilation but a release: the soul, freed from bodily distraction, returns to/or at least approaches a realm where truth, beauty and the good are more directly known. Immortality is therefore not mere extension of life but participation in a higher, intelligible order; philosophical life (reasoned reflection and purification) is the practice that prepares the soul for that state. Platos view goes over and questions afterlife theory, do we have a soul? Is the body and the soul separate? Surely somebody has to know right?

2 — Epicurus / Materialist quietism: immortality is irrelevant

Epicurus flips the frame. If a person is just the organized product of matter and sensations, then consciousness ends when the body and its soul stuff ceases. The famous line from Epicurus (Letter to Menoeceus) says roughly: death is nothing to us-when we are, death is not present; when death is present, we are not. Fear of annihilation is therefore irrational because there is no subject left to suffer annihilation. For Epicureans, the practical task is to remove unfounded fears (of gods, of death) so one can live a tranquil life oriented toward simple pleasures and the absence of pain. Why do we care? We are sub5 anyway so why would we not want to die? But do YOU deserver to die young?

3 — Bernard Williams — “The Makropulos Case”: immortality as tedium

Bernard Williams gives a concentrated, modern philosophical reason to be suspicious of immortality. He asks us to imagine a life that can continue indefinitely with one’s psychology intact. Williams argues that such a life would eventually become unbearable because the variety, motivation, and attachments that make life intelligible depend on limited time and the possibility of completion. Projects lose their point when there is no deadline; people would be unable to remain deeply engaged with the same projects, memories would accumulate into tedium, and the structure that gives personal life a narrative arc would collapse. Williams’ conclusion is not metaphysical, he isn’t proving immortality false, but evaluative: mortality, perversely, is part of what makes human life meaningful.

4 — My view — Hedonistic Nihilism — "Normal" human desires would mean nothing, unless you kill dopamine, theres no point.

I know what your thinking. "Killing dopamine? Wtf is this fucking dumbass nigga on about". The buddha supposedly reached this, the state of nirvana. When the desire to have desire/want is completely gone. Obviously nobody wants to go through allat, fucking years of meditation, the budhha himself took around 6 years to acheive it. You could easilly use those years to learn so much better shit such as tuplamacy, neuromancy, etc. You could easilly sue those years to get your money up. Nobody wants to do that. Except you have infinte years as a immortal being. When you have used up everything, done everything, watched the human race die, what will you do? Nothing else except reach enlightenment. From then on you are basically dead but also alive, is that not the method?

Theres 2 ways to reach immortality:

WE reach immortality in the near future

YOU reach immortality in the near future

What do i mean by that?

Either we wait for us to reach immortality

Or you reach it right now.

How?

Lucid dreaming:
Time dilation exists, some people have lived whole lives in their dreams, although it takes years to do this.

MY PLAN TO OVERRIDE "REALITY" AND BECOME IMMORTAL:
learn neuromancy, talpamancy, and astral projection.
after these i will be able to "daydream" in another realm.
i will spend lifetimes in my mind.
a user on the tulpamancy forums, actually acheived this.

I wonder if this will be accessible to everyone one day via technology.

You know, with all the neuron activating stuff, just something that puts you to sleep and allows you to live inside your head for lifetimes which in reality is hours in the real world.

Maybe one day.
