While bone structure is very important, skin tone goes a long way too. I believe the importance of skin tone is applicable on genders. If you are fixated on a woman's skin tone, just remember that women will penalize you even more harshly for that (if you are non white). Here is a pic that shows the impact of coloring on a one's perceived attractiveness.
While she still has the same features, there is a drastic change in her coloring on the right. Did she become significantly more unattractive or is it around the same? I guess this is testing whether skin tone has greater importance than facial features as she is still Caucasian looking. Remember that this is applicable to both genders, not just women. If anything, it effects males more but I think this was a good pic.
