Importance in moisturizing

Is it even important to moisturize in the morning (I use beef tallow obv gotta mog)

Cause like ik some ppl just splash their face and then js live their life

But I wna know is it necessary to actually apply a moisturizer in the morning or just a rinse with cold water will do it
