We all know that jaw is law. However most of the time even in chads or several PSL Gods, we notice that their Gonion are not flared. Actually flared gonions are ideal, giving a better model look and are perceived as more attractive. (assuming that every other parameter making facial harmony is in line)
For instance a great jawline yet not flared (no offense still mogs us all but just an example);
You can see that their jawline edges where jaw meets the parallel line to ears is slightly visible.
Whereas in the examples below you may see that gonial edges are extended giving a masculine look.
Be aware that though! Flared gonions don't necessarly mean it looks good. When inspected from the front gonion extension should be parallel to the face with very slight tapered curve coming out at the very end. You can see the slight shadow caused by gonions and skin folding/curvature
Unpleasant examples of flared gonions (either result of atrophied masseters or poor implant design);
I think @RealSurgerymax may also want to share his insights and solutions as a veteran
All in all Jawline contouring fitting the face and flared gonions are surely a step on PSL Scale!
