The only post you'll ever need to understand testosterone and how to increase it through substances
In this guide I aim to teach you briefly what testosterone is and how you can manipulate it successfully (for education purposes only)

Testosterone is a hormone mainly produced in the testes that plays a key role in muscle growth, sex drive, bone density, and male physical development. The synthesis of testosterone, the primary male sex steroid, is regulated by the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis, a highly integrated neuroendocrine feedback loop.

Testosterone works chemically by diffusing through cell membranes, binding to androgen receptors inside cells, and activating specific genes that increase protein synthesis and influence traits like muscle growth, body hair, sperm production, and libido. It feeds into your personality, making you more assertive, more confident and more disagreable. This is why men with higher testosterone can build more muscles, have more confidence in public and generally waltz through life.

Now you ask yourself, HOW can you increase your testosterone? Well, that starts here.

We will first go over all the standard tips people probably already know, though it wouldn't be a proper guide without those.

  1. Sleep
Sleep is the MOST IMPORTANT behavioural habit you can do. Sleep is so important because it allows for the restoration of your body. Testosterone production is strongly tied to sleep because the brain releases hormone signals during deep sleep that tell the testes to make testosterone. Chemically, this works through the hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal (HPG) axis. By being retarded and staying up too late you disrupt the process, which dysregulates your testosterone. That's why sleeping at the same time and waking up at the same time is important, your body needs a routine. It needs to know when its okay to rest.

2. Micro- and macronutrition

For your testes to optimally work, it first requires sustainance. That's why its important for you to eat enough healthy fats, proteins and carbs in order to satisfy your body's demand.

3. Weight training
Weight training is the second most important behavioural habit you can do, but it'll be all for naught without proper nutrition. Weight training sends anabolic signals which works on the HPG axis, and that results in a brief spike in testosterone which lasts throughout the day. By training for example 4x a week you can achieve a state where your body's testosterone continually spikes, and it will eventually slightly shift your baseline in order to meet the environment's demands.

Without these three habits in check, NOTHING else will work (if you want to stay natty).

Supplements that will reliably increase your natural testosterone (The normal substances)

There are many advertised substances and supplements that purport to increase testosterone, but they either don't have evidence behind them or are copes. I will avoid them here.

Before we begin, there's information you have to know. SHBG is a villain that soaks up your testosterone, and less SHBG = better utilization of T. You can have 1000 ng/dl on paper but not feel like that at all.

Ashwagandha: Ashwagandha reduces cortisol levels (chronically elevated cortisol suppresses testosterone production) and also raises DHEA sulfate, a sex hormone precursor that converts into testosterone. It also increases the production of luteinizing hormone (LH) and has potent antioxidant properties that protect Leydig cells in the testes from oxidative damage, preserving their testosterone-producing capacity. You can expect increases of 20%. 600mg KSM-66 variant, others are scams.

Tongkat-ali: Its active compounds (quassinoids) stimulate the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) from the pituitary, which signals Leydig cells in the testes to synthesize more testosterone. It also reduces sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), which frees up more testosterone in the blood from its bound, inactive state into its free, bioavailable form. You can expect your T levels to increase by 15% + better utilization. 400mg.

Sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) is a protein produced by the liver that binds tightly to testosterone in the bloodstream, rendering it inactive and unable to enter cells, meaning the higher your SHBG, the less "free" testosterone your body can actually use, regardless of your total testosterone levels.

Shilajit: The fulvic acid in shilajit directly stimulates the Leydig cells in the testes which are the cells responsible for testosterone production. It also upregulates key steroidogenic enzymes like 3β-HSD and 17β-HSD that convert precursor hormones into active testosterone, while its antioxidant properties protect those same Leydig cells from oxidative damage. 15% increase. 250mg twice daily.

Boron: Approximately 98% of testosterone molecules are bound to SHBG in the blood and are not bioavailable, so boron's primary mechanism is uncoupling testosterone from SHBG, raising the amount of free, usable testosterone. It also significantly decreases estradiol levels, which shifts the testosterone-to-estrogen ratio in a favorable direction for men. 28% increase in free testosterone. Use 10mg of it.

Magnesium glycinate: Magnesium glycinate increases testosterone primarily by reducing SHBG levels (freeing up more bioavailable testosterone) and by supporting the enzymatic reactions involved in testosterone synthesis, as magnesium deficiency is strongly associated with low testosterone and supplementing it restores optimal hormonal function. You need to consume 300mg elemental magnesium.

The best substances are significantly harder to obtain (the hard substances)

Clomiphene aka clomid: Clomid (clomiphene citrate) is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that blocks estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus, tricking your HPG axis into thinking estrogen is low and triggering it to release more LH and FSH, which in turn signals the testes to produce more testosterone. It was designed for women to stimulate their ovaries for fertility, but its used off-label relatively often to treat hypogonadism in men. It will reliably increase your testosterone by 50 to 120% depending on your base T levels. If your testosterone was around 300, you can expect a jump to 600 ng/dl. If you were already at 600, it will likely increase to 900 ng/dl. This WILL increase your SHBG levels, so you need the aformentioned substances to counteract the effects. The ENCLOMIPHENE variant is superior and better in every way, but is more costly and less accessible. If you do get enclomiphene, you may skip step 3 in the protocols below).

Anastrozole: Anastrozole is an aromatase inhibitor that blocks the aromatase enzyme responsible for converting testosterone into estrogen, which both raises total testosterone levels and lowers estrogen. This improves the testosterone-to-estrogen ratio without suppressing your body's natural hormone production axis. This will increase your total testosterone by around 30% whilst decreasing estrogen.

HCG: hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) is a hormone that mimics LH, directly stimulating the Leydig cells in the testes to produce testosterone making it unique among testosterone-boosting interventions in that it works even if the pituitary is not signaling properly, and also preserves testicular size and fertility unlike exogenous testosterone. This will significantly boost your testosterone by more than 100%. around 500IU, 2-3x a week (needle).

If you're in europe, grey-market sites like Deuschem (mostly reliable) will be your go to for these substances. If you're in america, there's like a dozen sites for your lucky ass.

Synthesis:

If you're thinking of buying these substances, here's what to do:

You can use the normal substances as you would with any. Once a day, pick a time and forget. For magnesium glycinate specifically though, use 300mg around 1h before you go to sleep. That will improve your sleep quality as well as testosterone.

If you're gonna use the hard substances:

When on clomid, use that together with anastrozole, magnesium glycinate and boron. Clomid's one powerful asset is that it substantially increases testosterone, but that testosterone will be aromatised to estrogen and SHBG will increase in concentration because of it. In order to counteract these problems, you have to use an aromatase inhibitor and supplements that reduce SHBG or compete with testosterone for SHBG receptors.

1) Begin with 25mg clomid every other day and 0.5mg of anastrozole every week (preferably 0.25mg twice every week). Use magnesium glycinate (tick to 300mg elemental magnesium) and boron (10mg) every day. Do this procedure for 3 weeks. Enclomiphene users: divide the doses I write by half for your own protocol.

2) If you feel good on week 3 and don't feel any of the symptoms related with low estrogen, increase dosage to 0.5mg twice every week. If your mood is fine and experience no headaches on the 3rd week, you may increase your clomid intake to 25mg every day.

3) Continue on this procedure until the 5th or 6th month (whatever day you choose), and slowly taper off both substances within 2 weeks. You will have to stay sober for the next ~45 days. The reason for this is because clomid is made up of encomiphene and zuclomiphene, and zuclomiphene will constantly build up in the tissues due to the extremely high half-life of 30 days. This period is essentially a "refresh" so we can avoid any long term damage.

4) Repeat (you can start directly from step 2). You may slowly increase to 50mg a day. You can slowly increase anastrozole to 1mg twice every week only if you can tolerate 0.5mg. If you do increase it and you experience adverse effects, revert back to 0.5mg.

You may use HCG during this period. begin from 250IU 2-3x a week and gradually build up to 500IU. Do NOT use it frequently. Use it for a month, stop for a week and then use it again. Too much use may desensitive your receptors in the Leydig cells, which cause long term damage to your natural testosterone production.

If you do this protocol and prioritize your sleep + weight training, I can promise you that your T-levels will easily surpass 1200 ng/dl (if you use HCG. Your T will likely be over 1000ng/dl without HCG, which is still damn good). Not just because of your efforts, but because it is chemically impossible for it not to.

IF YOU'RE GONNA USE CLOMID, READ THIS WARNING:
There are symptoms of clomid you have to know. Around 20% of men experience atleast one of these symptoms. It includes headaches, mood disruption, hot flashes etc. However, if you, for any reason, find your eyesight to be blurry, become extremely depressed or experience continuous chest pains and difficulty breathing- STOP THEN AND THERE. Do not go on because you will permanently lose your eyesight and have potential blood clots. Go to the doctor immediately. Fortunately, only 2% of men ever experience these symptoms, and our dosages are relatively conservative (atleast in the beginning. The beginning is what's important and it'll determine if you can go on). Do not push your luck.
