in need of weight loss advice (13)

132lbs, 5'1" at 13 and around tanner stage 2, i want to try and lose some weight and be healthier overall without stunting my growth. ive just been finding lots of cope and conflicting information, so anything helps. thanks

ok so,

don’t go on an aggresive cut,aim for a 200-400 calorie deficit.

let’s say your calorie maintenance is 2’300 your calorie deficit would be 2’100-1’900.

some good habits for losing weight is:

eat PROTEIN,a lot of it chicken,eggs,lean meat basically anything with protein.

eat fiber,it slows digestion and it takes up space in your stomach too.


drink mostly water NOT soda,of course you can drink soda or eat junk food but limit it,about one time per month.

stay active and that means taking walks,biking and lifting weights does help too!

note:don’t starve your self it’ll affect your development and growth

stop eating proccessed foods and eat lots of protein, less carbs and exercise everyday

eat when youre actually hungry, and dont just eat shitty UPF's 10k steps MINIMUM a day. i get 15-20k without even trying. just be active and eat nutritious meals when youre genuinely hungry instead of snacking shitty foods when youre bored

thanks, but i do have a small question about the exercise portion. my pediatrician told me that since i take vyvanse for adhd that it makes exercise (more specifically cardio) harder. he's pretty fat so i dont fully trust him on this but i want to know if my slight difficulty of exercise is because of this or just because im overweight.

dont cut too hard just eat less and eat a lot of protein foods you can just start doing 20k steps a day but its boring its better to buy a bycicle and just stay active and keep turning all day its summer you dont have school

Just eat lots of protien, supplements, creatine, stop PUFAs and MUFAs, eat mid-amount of carbs, More keto less sucrose/fructose

only good compounds are those for recomposition

just a few questions about this, first when you say less sucrose and fructose does that apply to just artificial stuff or everything including natrural stuff like fruit. also when you say more keto are you talking about the diet? as most of the keto diets im seeing consist of some parts PUFAs and MUFAs like nuts.

most likely the main cause will be overweight however i haven't got any knowledge on vyvanse. just do simple cardio though walking. theres almost zero reason to be doing running or any truly difficult cardio. if youre scrolling on tiktok go out and walk whilst doing it. like the guy said, dont aggressively cut as it will do more harm than good especially at your age. dont over complicate it simply just walk more and eat slightly less than usual. the most important part is something that is sustainable. theres no point forcing yourself to do 15k steps a day if youd only be able to stick to it for less than a week.

More fats, not exactly keto diet. Specifically saturated fats like from meat and eggs and animals

Nuts are very high calorie avoid it
