Why are you still on if energy can be consumed?. I agreed a while back it can't directly be consumed since you wanted to be pedantic.

Just because it cannot be "consumed" doesn't mean it doesn't affect body composition. In fact it is literally all that matters. Your body doesn't LOSE MASS to GAIN MASS. There would literally be 0 point in fat being used by the body :lul:
