The Philippines seems relatively untapped (unless you stay in BGC,makati in manila or cebu) but that's because it's a polluted overpopulated shithole no one wants to visit, but far less competition than thailand for example. Avoiding non-tourist cities in any asian country will make this no longer an issue but quality of life will go down

Thailand isn't really "easy" any more. It's a fairly advanced country, and literally the most visited country in SEA by tourists. If you want less competition you need to go to the less developed countries like Phils, Cambodia, Vietnam.
