Incorporating Azelaic Acid

Hey guys, I’ve been on tretinoin 0.05% for a month and a few weeks, is it time to start incorporating 10% azelaic acid to reduce my acne scars / acne I gotten with tretinoin? I have been handling tretinoin well, no more sensitive or irritation, need some feed back, thanks.

yeah u can probably introduce it but dont rush just because ur tret irritation is gone azelaic acid can help with acne and post inflammatory marks but adding another active after only a month or so isnt automatically necessary id keep tret as the foundation and if u add azelaic start slowly a few times a week and watch for irritation especially since ur already using 0 05 tret the goal is consistent skin not stacking actives until ur face gets nuked

Thanks, how much times a week do you think is necessary? I use tretinoin 5x a week.

if ur talking about azelaic acid 5x a week is generally plenty imo u dont need to force daily use if ur skin is already responding start around 3x a week then move toward 5x if ur skin tolerates it without burning dryness or irritation
