so ur abroad or in a mixed-lingual group or whatever and some people ur with start talking in a language u don't speak
just wait until they've spoken for a while and then, when there's a lull, be like "yup", "absolutely", "i was thinking the same thing", smth like that. bonus points if u know just enough of that language to say it in it.
this is an incredibly repetitive gag that i'm sure everyone must've heard 10000x in their life but it legit works every time. everyone will find it funny and you'll convert the awkwardness/tension of being silent the whole time into making urself the centre of positive attention. ive done this prob 100+ times at this point and it's the easiest gag u can possibly land

one time i fucked up and said it right after a serious conversation about some friend getting his bank account hacked (cuz i had 0 fucking clue what they were saying) and that was sorta awkward but was basically just ignored and forgotten abt 2 seconds later. so it's like a no-risks-all-rewards method ngl

obv don't repeat it with the same ppl several times tho, hopefully that goes w/o saying. ppl can forgive mistiming a joke (esp cuz u cant fucking understand context) but not being a reddit phaggot who repeats it
