So they used Indians to make a part of the special effects, they were probably cheaper, it seems this company did mostly the textures on 3D objects and the backgrounds - a simple but relatively laborious task that takes a lot of people and work hours.
The Indian who owns the company, also didn't even receive the VFX Oscars, it was shared by four other guys who also worked on the visuals for Dune.
