Been lurking here for years. No joke, I was reading this forum back when I was still in college in the Netherlands. This place is actually where I first heard about IndiaMART, sometime before COVID turned the entire planet into a circus.
Over the years I’ve watched countless threads pop up:
And lately after seeing a bunch of people complaining about failed deliveries and money vanishing into the void, I figured I’d finally make an account and throw in my two cents.
If you're in the EU, u need to accept reality for what it is right now. A lot of methods people were relying on previously seem far less reliable than they once were. Every week somebody claims they found the next genius solution then a month later the same thread is full of angry replies and screenshots.
That doesn't mean things will stay this way forever. it just means that right now, anyone claiming they have a magical guaranteed solution should be treated with a healthy amount of skepticism.
For the US and UK, things are considerably smoother. Australia seems mostly fine too aside from the occasional unlucky case that inevitably gets posted everywhere and scares the hell out of everyone.
A lot of newcomers think indiamart is a store, it isn't. indiamart is just a lead-generation platform.
You send an inquiry. Multiple companies receive your contact information. Then they reach out to you.
Simple.
What many people don't realise is that once your information starts circulating, u can end up getting messages from all kinds of people.
You know exactly what I'm talking about. And the person messaging you isn't necessarily the owner. Sometimes it's an employee. Sometimes it's a sales guy.
Sometimes it's somebody who has access to old customer enquiries.
And this is where shit can get messy. Some employees leave companies. Some retain old customer information.
Some are perfectly honest.
Some see an opportunity to make quick money from somebody who doesn't know any better. And suddenly u have some random cunt pretending to represent a legitimate company.
I've spoken to multiple long-time sellers over the years & they all told me the same thing:
The biggest source of problems isn't always the actual company. Sometimes it's random people pretending to represent one. And because confidentiality standards aren't exactly military-grade everywhere your contact information can end up with more people than you'd like.
I've lost plenty of money testing vendors over the years. Here is how the indiamart backend actually works so ur tiny brains understand why u keep getting exit scammed:
I've been doing this long enough that I don't really care about finding the newest seller anymore. I care about finding the guy who's still answering his phone 2 years later. That's the difference.
The one who tells u "no" is usually more trustworthy than the guy telling u everything is possible. So yeah. That's basically my IndiaMART rant.
I'm not saying every seller is a scammer. I'm saying the opposite actually. There are plenty of legitimate businesses and honest operators.
But there are also enough scammers, middlemen and opportunists that you need to stop thinking with your fucking wallet.
Do your homework. Verify who you're talking to. Don't chase impossible prices.
And especially for EU buyers:
WAIT FOR REAL EVIDENCE BEFORE THROWING MONEY AT SOME NEW METHOD.
If you ignore all of that and still send your entire savings to "IndianPharmaOfficial999" because he offered you 70% off...

At this point I've basically narrowed it down to a few people I actually trust.
Not because they're magical or because I think they're incapable of fucking up.
And definitely not because I'm going to sit here and claim they're "100% guaranteed".
It's because I've dealt with them repeatedly & know what their normal behaviour looks like.
Prices are generally in the same ballpark.
Sometimes one has stock the others don't. Sometimes one is cheaper. Sometimes one simply replies faster.
So I keep all three around.
Why the fuck would I limit myself to one seller when I can compare? They've been around long enough that disappearing tomorrow would hurt their own business.
The sellers I've spoken with have basically said:
Bro. At that point the shipping is the product.
If you're ordering ordinary topical products, combining legitimate purchases with friends can make the economics considerably better.
Same thing with pills. Use your brains.
The usual looksmaxxing requests are still things like:
Tretinoin, Tazarotene, Minoxidil, Finasteride, Steroids & Ancilliaries
+ Other prescription / pharmacy products
And yes, the sellers are still getting flooded with these enquiries. Apparently half of Looksmax is now indiamart's customer base.
One guy I know who operates alone is even talking to long-term customers about whether they can help with legitimate forwarding arrangements, but obviously that would increase costs because nobody is doing work for free.
That's probably the reality going forward: More expensive. Slower. Less bullshit promises. Hopefully more reliable once people figure out what actually works.
From what I've seen and heard recently:
The EU situation is uncertain. At the moment all you can count on is painkillers, boner pills, sleeping pills, the oldcel stuff.
The UK is fairly stable. Looksmaxing products from India & oldcel stuff UK2UK.
The US is fairly stable. Looksmaxing products from India & oldcel stuff US2US.
Australia remains relatively stable overall only for normal pharmaceuticals, no benzos or 'extra-curriculars' are making it there.
Anyone presenting themselves as having some secret foolproof method should be viewed with caution until there is consistent evidence over a long period of time.

When these reps get fired, they keep the lists and contact naive buyers offering "insane discounts."
You pay them, they block u, you cry on the forum.
If an offer sounds too good to be true, it’s a scammer using leaked lead lists.

This applies to literally everything.
Shipping? No 100%.
Stock? No 100%.
Customs? Definitely no 100%.
Seller? Absolutely fucking not.
Anyone promising absolute certainty in international shipping is selling you a fantasy.
The honest answer is always:
"This is what we've seen in the past, but shit can happen."
I'd rather hear that than some salesman telling me:
"sir don't worry guaranteed no problem" and then disappearing 48 hours later.
Shipping? No 100%.
Stock? No 100%.
Customs? Definitely no 100%.
Seller? Absolutely fucking not.

Especially with creams / gels / ointments. I've heard of people ordering one fucking tube and then paying ridiculous shipping on top.Bro. At that point the shipping is the product.
