Indians should promote Bollywood more to increase SMV internationally

K-Pop and K-Dramas has helped East Asia significantly in their male smv.

Bollywood being promoted can singlehandedly help all of South Asia's smv, and even beat out Korean media due to their sheer number.

That's a huge problem. Also indian culture is practically unknown compared to east asian culture in the west. East asian culture and entertainment has been well known for decades. Everyone at least knows about martial arts, samurais, advanced technology, safe societies, kpoop, anime, kdrama and etc.

And only just recently, has it started to benefit males. It didn't happen over night at all. It took a long time for any progress.



Webtoon/Manwha Chang pipeline to Kdrama Chang is serious business.

The thing is most bollywood actors look nothing like the average indian. The negative stereotypes against indians are too strong even if it does work: tech support scams, street shitting, staring, etc.

That's a huge problem. Also indian culture is practically unknown compared to east asian culture in the west. East asian culture and entertainment has been well known for decades. Average amerimutts drive east asian cars, watch movies, play video games and eat noodle made by chinks daily. Influence = daily living without thinking too much about the origin. (Maybe like 10 to 30% of amerimutts like east asian culture)

Curry culture is still pretty exotic and unknown

Obviously the food is the number one thing plus

Positive media Representation will help the good looking curries, while the rest are left to rot . The K pop has skyrocketed chang smv while the average Korean gets even less action.

They do have bad stereotypes but pretty sure it can be overcome by having good looks and media representation and acting NT

Maybe not well known but it's far from unknown like you said. Everyone knows about indian food, bollywood, etc. But yeah Bollywood films aren't watched by Americans even though I can easily see a lot of white girls eating them up like they do with k-dramas. I'd actually say media is portraying indians in a rather positive light, the average indian from Mumbai is truly subhuman compared to what you see on the media. Honestly I think if there was some sort of documentary on modern India that became popular it would drop the SMV even lower

Like Asians are seen as nerdy but they have positive characteristics which helped overcome that stereotype. Indians meanwhile have nothing and they're always gonna be seen as either nerdy, smelly, or creepy bc of this. India is much also less developed than Korea so it obviously won't have enough influence in technology or any other areas like that. Overall I think Indians have to break their own stereotypes rather than change them like Koreans have to be successful socially

Their are a lot of indians in Florida, texas, california, and New York as well as Washington . Don't think people know anything besides their food culture tbh.

And yea compared to full blooded spics their the same on average, the light skins definetly do look a lot better though. And their falio is greatly increased by their awkwardness and lack of ability to be NT. The ones that are more social often try to be class clowns or make self depreciating jokes further reducing their status.

They need to act NT like latinos and then the better looking ones can see a higher smv , along with good media representation .

Asians have similar social aspie falio but with the help of K Pop Good looking NT Changs I have seen a lot more interracial couples with white women these days.
