People typically say that oh u can take infi its weaker then erda. But i lowk dont think so, i may be stupid and am missing something but lets take a look at IC50 values
Infigratinib = Green
Erdafitinib = Yellow
IC50 values:
FGFR1: 0.9nM 1.2nM
FGFR2: 1.4nM 2.5nM
FGFR3: 1.0nM 3.0nM
FGFR4: 60nM 5.7nM
Basically what IC50 means is I = inhibitory, C = contraction and 50 is the %. nM is nanomolar, basically the unit of drug concentration. What IC50 tells you is that how much of the drug is needed to reduce target by 50%. The smaller the number the more potent it is, because u need less nM to reduce it.
We can see that Infigratinib is more potent for all FGFRs other then 4, which means it should also have more sides, but also be alot more potent.
Can anyone tell me what i am missing??
