Is the blood from the skin outside of it or bc you cut the nail too deep?
But tbh I don't think your good with just this at least from my experience. I'd continue the "line" straight down as far as possible.
And turn the nail clipper sideways and use the blade to cut into it, not clip away, by clipping your not getting far.
And don't hesitate you need to do it in one cut or you can't get in anymore.
But everything only how your feeling etc. no medical advice....
And don't forget to desinfect

Doctor tells you you nned to get it operated. I did that once and shit was NOT worth it at all. Worst pain and recovery ever and for me every single nail gets ingrown I'd have to get surgery on every one on both sides

This is the position of it on my hand. From there you cut straight down (within reason) so always cutting away at equal thickness of the piece. Then once your like 1/4 of the nail height you can't cut anymore so this is where you stop and try to cut the piece away. If there is anything remaining use the "phone tool" mentioned before to get everything out
And always make sure your stuff is desinfected
No medical advice... just what I do
And of course the starting point is where your cut ended
